Passport to Song Concert Offers Folk Music from Around the
World

ChildrenSong
of New Jersey will present its 2004 Spring Concert titled Passport to
Song on Saturday, June 4, 2004, at Haddonfield
Memorial High School Auditorium, 401 Kings Highway East,
Haddonfield, at 7:30pm.
Join us for an evening trip around the world to experience folk songs
from different cultures. Featured selections include songs from Africa,
Serbia, China, Ireland, and the United States. Selections include When
I Close My Eyes, Einini, Appalachian Suite, I've
Got Rhythm, Okakomborerwa, Dirait-On
(from Les Chansons des Roses), and Niska
Banja.
Let the the choirs of ChildrenSong broaden your musical horizons this
spring! Adult tickets are $10, children aged 6-12 are $6, and children 5
and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or reserved by
calling the chorus line at 856-216-1140.
Haddonfield
Memorial High School offers ample seating, excellent acoustics, free
on-site parking, and wheelchair access. Click

ChildrenSong of New Jersey is a non-profit, regional children's
community chorus, founded and directed by Polly
Murray. The Assistant director is Michael Trotta and Accompanists
are Rob Kennan and Joe Krupa. The
chorus' 125 members range in age from 7 to 17, and represent three South
Jersey counties.
Funding has been made possible through local arts program support of
New Jersey State Council on the Arts through the Camden County Cultural
and Heritage Commission, the designated county arts agency.
