ChildrenSong
of New Jersey will host an interactive workshop with nationally acclaimed
multicultural song leader Nick
Page on January 28, 2005. Join Nick as he liberates the old model of the
sing-along, bringing choral groups together to sing powerful world music. Bring
your choir, or come on your own to this multicultural song experience!
Professional Development credit available through ChildrenSong of NJ
Ensemble participation is first come/first served and limited to 50
singers per participating ensemble.
"Teacher Only" reduced rate for directors participating without
choir
Location/Time: Friday, January 28, 2005, at Haddonfield Memorial High
School, Haddonfield, New Jersey
9:30-11:30am for High School choirs (SATB)
12:30-2:30pm for Middle School choirs (SSA/SAB)
Registration/Fees: Ensemble registration ends January 14, 2005.
Teacher registration available until January 28th.
$100 Ensemble participation for one session (limit 50 singers).
$50 "Teacher Only" participation in both sessions without a
choir (includes lunch).
ChildrenSong of New Jersey is a non-profit, regional
children's community chorus, founded and directed by Polly
Murray. Accompanists are Rob Kennan and
Joe Krupa. The chorus' 125 members range in age from 7 to 17, and represent
three South Jersey counties.
