Open Auditions for 2005-2006 Season

July 28, 2005

ChildrenSong of New Jersey will hold auditions for its three choirs on upcoming Tuesday evenings: August 16, September 6, and September 13, 2005. ChildrenSong is a not-for-profit children's chorus based in Haddonfield, NJ. Members represent Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties.

The 85 singers who perform within the three choirs of ChildrenSong sing a selection of music from various genres including classical, jazz, and folk songs. Recent performances include Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème with the (Philadelphia) Academy of Vocal Arts and as featured performers at the prestigious annual holiday celebration, A Longwood Gardens Christmas, on the beautiful grounds of Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

ChildrenSong traveled to Canada last summer to perform at the prestigious Niagara International Choral Festival and travels to Chicago in July of this summer for the Heritage Children's Choir Festival.

To audition, children must be between the ages of 7½ and 16. Children will be asked to prepare My Country ’Tis of Thee or a similar solo for the audition. More info is on our auditions page. Audition sessions are held by appointment only.
