Sing and Rejoice! with ChildrenSong of New Jersey

ChildrenSong of New Jersey will present its 9th annual Spring Concert Sing and Rejoice! on Saturday, June 6, at 7:00pm at Haddonfield Memorial High School in Haddonfield, NJ, and on Sunday, June 7, at 3pm at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Woodbury.

The concert will feature jazz, gospel, blues, folk, and spirituals by Aaron Copland, Moses Hogan, Irving Berlin and others, sung by the ChildrenSong choirs. Guest artist Michael Trotta will conduct his 2009 work When I Sing to Make You Dance, commissioned by ChildrenSong and written for ChildrenSong’s changed voices ensemble Cantate Singers.

Tickets are $10 in advance for adults ($12 at the door), $7 for students and seniors (60+). Children 11 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door, at the ChildrenSong online store, or reserved by calling the chorus line at 856-216-1140.

ChildrenSong of New Jersey is a non-profit, regional children’s community chorus, founded and directed by Polly Murray. The choir is accompanied by Nick Watts with vocal coach Patty Januszewski. The chorus’ 85 members range in age from 7 to 18, and represent three South Jersey counties.
