2010 Camden County Songfest

Do your children love to sing? Sign them up now for the ChildrenSong’s 9th annual Songfest.

Last year’s program attracted around 300 singers aged 9-15 from five counties in New Jersey. The theme was American Songfest, where children learned a variety of music from around the world. This year’s program includes spirituals, freedom, and civil rights songs.

This all-day multicultural music and singing celebration is for area children ages 8-15 (grades 3-9), with both changed and unchanged voices. The program features a children’s division (grades 3-5) and a youth division (grades 6-9). The program is sponsored by ChildrenSong of New Jersey. Singers do not need to know how to read music to participate. We’ll teach them the basics of music reading and part singing in one fun-filled day of music making!

Teachers are invited to attend free for professional development credit.

Check-in begins at 8:30am for the Children’s Division and at 9:15am for the Youth Division. The day ends with a free concert for friends and family at 3:00pm.
