ChildrenSong presents "Together in Song" for its 10th Anniversary Concert Celebration
ChildrenSong of New Jersey, a non-profit children’s chorus based in Haddonfield, celebrates its 10th Anniversary season with its spring concert, Together in Song, featuring the world premiere of a commissioned work based on a poem written by chorister Rosemary Quigley and set to music by composer Frank Staneck. Choristers submitted poetry based on music and singing to ChildrenSong staff, who chose Rosemary’s poem as the winning entry that best described the work of ChildrenSong of New Jersey. Other selections celebrate the joy of singing and freedom.
Performances will be held Saturday, May 22, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church at 7pm and Sunday, May 23, at Christ the King Church at 3pm.
Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance for adults. Seniors and students are $10 and children 11 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased through the ChildrenSong online store or reserved by calling 856-216-1140.
You can also order a CD or DVD recording of this performance from our online store.
The choir, established in 2000, has been providing top quality vocal music training and performance experience to children in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties for 10 years. Started by Artistic Director Polly Murray as a means to provide exceptional experiences to area children who did not have access to quality voice instruction, the choir has performed across the US, England, and both coasts of Canada. Additional artistic staff include Vocal Coach Patricia Januszewski and accompanist Nicholas Watts.
Some of ChildrenSong’s alumni have gone on to careers in performance and music education. Auditions for singers aged 8-16 can be scheduled for Mondays in June by appointment.
