Rehearsals

The Choirs rehearse every Monday evening during the season plus once per month on Saturday morning. Rehearsals are held at Haddonfield Middle School, 3 Lincoln Avenue, Haddonfield:

* Three excused absences are allowed for each semester (September through December and Jan through June). Choristers must call 856-216-1140 or email attendancechildrensong [dot] org.

Each choir overlaps with the next advanced level:

• Prelude Choir rehearses with Allegro Choir.
• Allegro Choir rehearses with Concert Choir.
• Concert Choir rehearses for an additional amount of time by themselves.

Summer Choir Camp

Choir camp is mandatory for all choristers. For the 2009-2010 season, choir camp will run August 24 through 28, using the Saturday rehearsal schedule.

Performances

Singers are required to attend the major Winter and Spring Concerts and corresponding Final Rehearsals prior to these concerts. There are other concerts during the season (about 5-6) and some may be mandatory, others may be strongly encouraged.

ChildrenSong is a performance program, so it is important to attend the concerts. We will make every effort to give you as many dates as possible at the start of the year in September so you can plan accordingly. If a conflict arises for any concert or mandatory rehearsal, you must let Mrs. Murray know as soon as possible and provide a reason for missing the event.

Children who have a conflict with the major Winter or Spring concert will not be permitted to finish the corresponding semester and will have to contact Mrs. Murray about re-entering the following semester.
