Patti Januszewski, Vocal Coach Mrs. Januszewski is a 1973 graduate of Glassboro State College with a BA in music education, studying voice. Upon graduation, Mrs. Januszewski was hired by West Township Schools to teach music in their new Middle School. After teaching middle school for 3 years, Mrs. J moved to the Elementary level and has been teaching music grades K to 4 in Red Bank and Oakview Elementry Schools.

In 1974, Mrs. J joined Singing City Choir and sang with Elaine Brown for 3 years. She has also served as soloist in church choirs and community choruses in the South Jersey area. As a member of Lauda! Chamber Singers, Mrs. J sings under the direction of Charles Walker. She has served on the planning board and board of directors of this premier choral ensemble since it's creation in 1994.

Mrs. Januszewski is a member of Music Educators National Conference and American Choral Directors as well as South Jersey Choral Directors Association. In 1992, Mrs. J conducted the SJCDA Elementary Choral Festival Chorus. A recipient of the MENC Master Music Teacher Award in 1994, Mrs. J also was honored with the Governor's Medallion for Excellence in the Arts that same year. In addition to a busy schedule of teaching, singing in Lauda! Chamber Singers, and serving as Cantor at St. Michael's Church in Gibbstown, Mrs. J is an active presenter. She has developed programs for presentation at the MENC and ACDA conventions on a state level. Mrs. J is also a regular presenter for the Gloucester County Consortium. Earlier this month, Mrs. J and Mrs. Murray were co-presenters at the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City and will be scheduled to return in November of 2006.

Mrs. J and her husband Michael share a love of music and sing together in Lauda! Michael is a computer technology teacher at Deptford High School. Their daughter Laura is a student at Rowan University.
